Mike Alonso is the Founder and CEO of Alanova Solutions, a healthcare consulting and leadership development firm dedicated to helping organizations transform complex systems into sustainable, patient-centered solutions.
For more than 20 years, Mike has worked at the intersection of public health, healthcare operations, workforce development, and systems transformation. His experience spans leadership roles across departments of health, pharmaceutical organizations, healthcare systems, and community-based organizations, where he has helped organizations strengthen operations, improve patient outcomes, expand access to care, optimize funding, and navigate complex healthcare challenges.
Mike's expertise includes healthcare operations, 340B strategy and compliance, Ryan White programs, HIV prevention and treatment, PrEP and nPEP implementation, Rapid Start programs, quality improvement, data-driven decision making, grant strategy, workforce development, community engagement, and organizational change management.
Throughout his career, he has advised nearly 100 healthcare organizations, trained more than 1,000 providers and healthcare professionals, and contributed to initiatives that have positively impacted thousands of patients and communities.
Among his many accomplishments, Mike is most proud of helping lead the development of Florida's first large-scale PrEP program, supporting statewide adoption of PrEP and nPEP services, advancing Rapid Start implementation efforts, expanding healthcare workforce capacity, and helping organizations build systems that improve access, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. His work has supported healthcare innovation across Florida, the Southeast, New York City, Texas, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean, with programs and strategies reaching communities throughout the entire state of Florida.
A nationally recognized speaker and thought leader, Mike has presented at conferences and meetings across the country on topics including healthcare transformation, HIV prevention, physician engagement, workforce development, public health strategy, and systems improvement. He is also the creator of the TEDx talk, "Awakening Your Inner Sexual Health Warrior," and is known for combining technical expertise with practical implementation experience to help organizations translate complex challenges into actionable, measurable results.
Mike holds a Master of Science in Public Health from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences and Psychology from Fordham University. He has also pursued doctoral studies in Medical Anthropology through Florida International University and the University of Central Florida, further strengthening his interdisciplinary approach to healthcare systems, human behavior, and organizational change.
Through Alanova Solutions, Mike is focused on helping organizations achieve meaningful transformation while developing the next generation of healthcare leaders who will continue advancing innovation, access, and excellence across the healthcare landscape.
When he's not working with clients, Mike enjoys traveling with his husband, spending time with their four dogs, exploring theme parks, and competing on the softball field.
